Inter-School English Quiz

I'm back. It had been a lot for this week. There was a Inter-School English Quiz and my essays. Haa.

Yesterday, I headed straight to Olympia College after my quick dinner near there. Haa. I was the first to arrived for my team, the others caught up minutes after. Inside were other teams with their respective teachers. Mr. Seow was our teacher. It was fun. We registered and had an unexpected short chat with the Rotary Club President. I signed my name and received a bag of stuffs - brochures, notebooks, a pack of tablets. Then, we headed upstairs. The auditorium, we sat there to listen to some speeches and a video. The draw - Room 1, Group 3. Out we went. Haa.

The room was not spacious with so many students, teachers and Rtn in it. We took our seats and started. Those questions were asked on various fields such as politics, science, English, sports etc. We grabbed 4 marks only. Not much. Anderson won in our room with 9 marks. After that, we went out for some refreshments - Doughnuts and coffee. Later, we went back into the auditorium and had a open-to-audience-quiz session. Haa. I was at total blank. What? Haa. Laughters. It's time. We didn't make it to the last four. However, I just took my participation certificate. I'm contented for the experience and joy I gained from this activity. Okay. Gotta go.

Surprised by his reaction. xD

A long assembly

Yo. That was a long assembly to start my day. In fact, that was the longest assembly recorded this year. About an hour with my butt on the floor, looking at the stage with people up and down it. Haa.

Just nice. Mostly b'coz of the launching of Program NILAM, which I kinda involved in. The gong and the two students who presented their books' synopsis nicely. They were entertaining. Haa. I was surprised that they were so 'into'' their parts. By the way, the prize-giving just can't seem to stop during the assembly. I thought our principal will be quite contented with all those achievements as he gave away the prizes. Haa. At least he and our Coco PK were smiling happily. Haa. BSMM, the chinese debate team, ping pong, chess, bowling....etc.

Then, our principal finally had the chance to deliver his long-awaited speech. He gave some reminders and introduced a international student from Germany to us. Luca, I think. He was, cool. I wondered when will there be one in our class. Haa.

Well, the rest of the day was highlighted by Henry. Haa. I felt it as funny as described by them. Just weird.

Red Alert

It's weekend. Another boring weekend with my usual morning coffee and bread, plus tuition. Weekend has no rest, only more work.

Mid-year is less than a month away. Trial is about two months away. SPM is months away. Time is getting shorter. My studies are not directly proportional to the time passed. I was slacking with thoughts bugging me. My goal - my studies, is my priority number one. Red alert should be alarmed to achieve that goal. I have to work harder coz just hard is not enough. And harder is not enough too. I must work and do my best to reach my dreams. I'm no high scorer or any gifted boy. I'm me, that's it. I'm gonna hit SPM with all I have. Promise myself this. Nothing else is getting in the way. If there is, it's going down. End of the story.

Hmm. This place sucks, as in here. I want to explore the freaking outside world when I have the chance. Just wait me, ok? I'm gonna get there soon enough. Just the matter of time, wait. Why? There's no why. Just answers.

Telematch

Geez. Craps. The world had turned upside down and back again. So fun and exciting.

To start off, there was the telematch where other schools came for the first time - Poi Lam and Ave Maria Convent. So, I went there early and played like there was no tomorrow until lunch time. I resumed my playing with the station game after lunch. I was exhausted but contented with what I played and experienced. Simply memorable. For once, I had my first basketball match competition style in my life. HAHAHA!!! Although we lost, somehow badly, I had fun just for playing. I don't care much about the scores back then. Haa. I played almost everything, except for soccer. Haa. Sweat all over my shirt and I was relaxed. Wind blew and I welcomed it. Yeah!

Station Game - Fun! My team played each station with so much laughters and joy. We smiled and ran. In the treasure hunt, I was excited to be involved. Ran, ran, ran! Found it! End the hunt when we hunted down the last man OC. Haa. He was even charged down by Shiuh Jye in the end when Shiuh Jye found him. Haa. Too bad, we played with the OCs only at each station. No other teams to compete with. Haa. Anyway, just nice

I was maths freaked today. I just knew half of the papers' questions. Haa.

Rush Rush Rush

Gosh. I had a rough week and was exhausted. I had never know applying for something will need such work. However, it will be worth it in the end. I hope I can get it along with all my fellow friends who applied. Today was a 'rush rush' day as friends and I rushed to get signatures and send the documents through courier service as soon as possible. Friends, I helped you all sent it. I hope it can reach there on time. Good luck!

Scholarships, a way to get my education opportunity increased and the fees needed reduced. I want to cut down on my expenses for my education as much as possible. Money is not enough for everything. I just wished I had enough or more. Haa. Tomorrow, there is a talk on studies in UK and US. Geez, I like that too.

Sometimes things just don't go right. Gosh, when I was writing my essay yesterday. My phone won't just stop vibrating. Questions, what do you think I am? Answering machine? Okie. Enough. Next time, no rush. Everything is to be learnt from experience. I learnt mine. I won't repeat my mistakes twice. Nono.

Clash of The Titans

Last week was nice, with April's Fool, Good Friday, Easter Sunday....

Clash of The Titans, the remake of this film was great with the new CG effects. Kraken, Medusa, Hades were made very much 'alive'. I watched it on Good Friday with my friends in celebration of Chea's birthday. On that very morning, before I rushed to the cinema, I went to my grandpa's cemetery to pay some respect. Geez, grass and twigs grew all over the place. We had to cut them down again, although we paid for the maintenance - which only includes road and herbicide spray. But why was the wild grass growing? That was a question mark which many of us can answer to. Haa. Paid respect, burned the box of 'valuable goods' to be sent to grandpa. I had been here every year. Celebrated my bro's birthday too. Wondering whether I will be doing that next year....

Life's about decision. I haven't make mine.

The connection is damn slow recently. What's wrong?

Yesterday, it supposed to be a double treat with two cakes - moist chocolate and blueberry cheese cake. Boon didn't show up so it ended up as a single treat with Chea had the cakes to himself. Haa. But then we 'savaged' the cakes like we haven't been eating for days. Typical S1 students. Eating the cake with my hand tasted better. Moist chocolate cake was nice. This time, it took place in the canteen. Before all that, there was a short and interesting story.

Bio Lab. We walked slow? I don't think so. Maybe we just started late. Nah. Anyway, our principal dropped by unexpectedly and gave us quite a 'lecture'. He stood by and monitored our lesson. Haa. Ironically, he took the mic from the hands of our Bio teacher halfway through the lesson. Haa. He got all that adrenaline and passion for the teaching of Bio back 10 years ago, when he wasn't a principal yet. I gotta gave it, he was a pro in Bio. He taught us well, for me to understand clearly enough. He made my love for Bio burns once more. Mr.Phang was dedicated, gonna fight for free periods to teach us. Haa. I wonder how will that end up. Waitin...

'I love Bio'
'I'm very happy to hear that.'

Haa...
